Mary Hare Primary pupils recently took part in Future Cheer 2009 - a Winter Wonderland Cheerleading Competition at Crystal Palace, London
Last week, pupils from Mary Hare Primary School took part in the Future Cheer 2009 Winter Wonderland Cheerleading Competition, held at Crystal Palace in London. They entered as a demonstration team, Cheervision, coached by Paul Butler which is funded through the West Berkshire School Sports Partnership.
Ten very excited children waited their turn to show the 2,000 spectators exactly what they could do. They were greeted with tremendous cheers of encouragement and received a standing ovation after a fantastic exhibition of all the movements they had been practicing. They each received a small trophy as well as a special team STAR award for the teamshowing the most dedication, commitment, spirit and hard work at the Winter Championships.
As a result of their outstanding success, the team has been offered sponsorship for new shirts as well as several invitations to attend other competitions in the near future. Well Done!
