Mary Hare's Senior team triumphed at this year's Rotay Club 'Youth Speaks' inter-school competition, which was attended by the Mayors of Thatcham and Newbury.  Taking part in this annual event were Intermediate and Senior teams from a number of local schools.

Mary Hare Intermediates, Pavundeep, Jamie and Diarmuid, entertained the audience with a lively and humorous presentation on the subject of 'Friendship'.  Winners of this round were Trinity School, with an excellent talk on 'The Art of Complaining'.

The Mary Hare Senior team, Fenella, Rolf and Christianah (pictured above), presented a humorous and thought provoking talk, entitled, 'Why Learn A Foreign Language?' The judges decision was unanimous and to shrieks of delight they announced Mary Hare Senior team to be the winners!

We look forward to the team posing the question to a new audience, in the next round of the competition.
