Mill Hall, formerly known as Greenham Lodge, is a Grade 2* listed building set in 29 acres of beautiful mature gardens just to the south of Newbury racecourse.

Over the years this grand old mock-Tudor mansion has become a favourite venue for parties of all shapes and sizes - from Victorian aristocratic balls to modern civil weddings.

The most famous party to have taken place happened on D-Day, at which, according to legend, the officers of the American Air Force were driven up the feature staircase in a jeep on Eisenhower's orders, as they were too drunk to walk.

When choosing Mill Hall for your wedding (or other celebration), you are choosing a venue steeped in history, set within stunning grounds, with the full support of a highly experienced, professional team.

Our standard wedding packages include exclusive access to the majority of the ground floor, including:

The Great Hall A magnificent two-storey room with carved oak panelling, stained glass windows and an ornate Victorian fire place. The room is licensed for the conduct of civil weddings and is suitable for about one hundred people to dine in comfort. The floor is carpeted, but dancing is possible in this room if you prefer to eat in the Dining Room or Garden Room. Capacity: 100 seated
	The Dining Room Fine oak panelling and a superb fireplace give this room an intimate character. It has splendid picture windows over looking the gardens. This room is licensed for civil weddings, perfect for a more intimate wedding ceremony. Capacity: 50 seated
The Garden Room This room is renowned for its elegant plaster ceiling and the great view of the ground’s lake and waterfall. It has wooden flooring, ideal for dancing, and access to the garden and patio. Capacity: 60 seated
	The Bar Set between the Garden Room and the Dining Room, this facility serves a wide variety of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks at reasonable prices.

As part of your day, you will also have full access to the grounds, including mature
lakes and greens. Our resident deer are also known to make the occasional appearance.
